Virginia Community Voices was originally founded as one of
thirteen partnerships serving as national demonstration projects
of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to bring the voice of the community
into the development of policies and programs to improve health
and health care access for uninsured and underserved populations.
At the conclusion of the project, Community Voices incorporated
as a 501C3 organization to continue the important work that
was begun through the Kellogg project.
The goals of West Virginia Community Voices, Inc. are to:
community capacity to develop and access quality health
and social services by mobilizing, promoting and supporting
policies that improve health care access for children and
the infrastructure to address the health status disparities
between minority and white populations.
